2-D Non Linear Functions Compression using 2-D Wavelet Families

Abstract:

Two dimensional wavelet transforms like Haar, Daubechies, Coiflet and Symlets are used to approximate and compress 2D non linear functions. Among all the wavelets that are employed for analyzing nonlinear 2-D functions, it is observed that Daubechies and Symlet wavelets give exact identical values for the calculated image quality metrics.
