Abstract | Two dimensional Gaussian, Square wave and Rectangular functions are created using two dimensional Fourier series and transform approximations. The Fourier domain or frequency domain represents each point a particular frequency contained in the spatial domain image. The goodness of the fit were measured using statistical analysis and the parameters like R-square, RMSE value etc. were analyzed. It is found that in the absence of an analytical function representing Gaussian, Square wave and Rectangular functions, these methods gives almost correct approximations of the original functions. |
